Power steering check at Jody's Automotive Repair & Lube Shop
The power steering pump directs takes fluid from the reservoir into the steering gear, that, with the right amount of pressure, turns the steering wheel smoothly. There are several symptoms of a possible bad pump. If you hear a whining noise when turning the wheel, if the wheel is slow to respond or stiff, or if there is a groaning or unusual noise that lasts for more than a minute after starting the vehicle, it’s time to have it checked out.
If you notice any of the following, contact us to have it inspected by our ASE Certified technicians as soon as possible.
